General
The Original Rug Bag Company is a small family run business based in Hertfordshire.

Orders may only be placed for goods subject exclusively to the terms and conditions below. Please read them carefully. By placing an order you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

The Original Rug Bag company reserves the right to make changes to this site and these terms and conditions at any time.

Pricing
Every effort is made to maintain the prices shown on this website, however, for reasons beyond our control this is not always possible. We reserve the right to discontinue any item and to change prices when necessary.

Availability
All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time, including after you have placed an order. It is our policy, to only charge for in-stock items ready for despatch. If your order cannot be fulfilled you will be informed and given the choice of a later delivery or alternative product. You will only be charged at the time of despatch.

We will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from The Original Rug Bag Company.

Special Orders
Orders for made to measure purchases will be charged for at the time we receive the order. Orders of this type are placed on your behalf by The Original Rug Bag Company, and are non-returnable. This does not affect you statutory rights.

Payment
Payment is by Debit/ Credit card Paypal, Cheque or BACS with order. We reserve the right to refuse any credit card transactions.

Distant Selling Regulations
Under the Distance Selling Regulations customers who purchase via our website have 7 working days (not including weekends or public holidays) after the day your order was received to cancel their purchase. In this case, we will provide a full refund including any original postage costs, but you must return the cancelled items to us at your own cost. Please note we require all items must be fit for resale.

You must contact us – either by email at: info@theoriginalrugbagcompany.co.uk or by Post at The Original Rug Bag Company. Woodland Cottage, 4 Sacombe Green, Nr Ware, Hertfordshire. SG12 0JH to advise us that you intend to return the items. You may also contact us initially by telephone, on either 01920 438306 or 07792766926, however, please note that we will still need confirmation from you in writing.

Exchange Or Refund
We want you to be really pleased with your purchase, but if for any reason you are not satisfied with our products simply return them within 7 days of receipt for either:

An exchange – please note that we will not refund the Delivery/P&P costs of returns to us. Any costs incurred will be payable by the customer.
A refund – which will be the amount you paid minus the delivery / P&P costs.
We do not exchange OR refund any items that have been ‘Made To Measure’ to a customers specific instructions, unless it is agreed that they are damaged or faulty.

To qualify for an exchange or refund the goods MUST be unused and in resalable condition. Once inspected by us we’ll either contact you to confirm which item(s) you would like in exchange, or we’ll refund the amount due within 28 days.

Damaged/Faulty Or Wrong Items Sent
If you find any of your goods are damaged/faulty or the wrong product was provided to you as a result of our error, return the unopened and/or unused goods and according to your instructions we will either exchange them or reimburse the total cost of the item/s this includes all the delivery/P&P (sent & returned) costs.

When returning items we recommend you obtain a certificate of posting and/or any suitable insurance, our preference is to use signed for, as we cannot accept responsibility for return parcels that are lost or damaged in transit. Please pack the item/s carefully to prevent any damage in transit. Please include your name, address, your order reference number (if applicable), our Invoice number and Product Code number, the reason for the return and the action you would like us to take with all returns.

Your existing Consumer Statutory rights are not affected by these conditions.

How to Return a Product
Please send an email to: info@theoriginalrugbagcompany.co.uk provide your order number, and a brief explanation of the problem.

Please post the goods back to us.

Please pack the item/s carefully so that they will not be damaged in transit. Include a copy of your receipt/delivery note and a brief note of the reason for return.
